INCI:Â Mandelic Acid
Mandelic Acid is a gentle alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, commonly used in skin peels, lotions, creams, serums, and wipes. Known for its mildness due to its larger molecule size, it is ideal for sensitive skin. Mandelic Acid effectively exfoliates, breaking down dead skin cells to promote a smooth, youthful complexion and even skin tone. It also brightens skin, reduces dark spots, and diminishes fine lines, making it a powerful anti-aging ingredient. Additionally, it helps unclog pores and reduce acne breakouts.
Versatile in use, Mandelic Acid can be incorporated into serums, toners, masks, and peels, and is soluble in water, ethanol, diethyl ether, and isopropyl alcohol. For best results, add 5-10% of Mandelic Acid to your skincare products or create a DIY peel with water or aloe vera gel, starting with a lower concentration and gradually increasing. Always perform a patch test before use.
Use caution with Mandelic Acid, avoiding direct contact with eyes and discontinuing use if irritation occurs. As AHAs can increase sun sensitivity, use sunscreen during the day. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and out of reach of children.
Store light-protected in a cool and dry place.
